Founder and CEO Ms Alessandra Valenza began her logistics career managing rail consignments into the DRC’s mining regions. In 1997, she founded VS Cargo to specialise in rail and road logistics to and from the DRC. Her foresight led to the creation of Zambia’s first bonded transit facility in Ndola, positioning VS Cargo as a market pioneer in cross-border logistics.
Our experienced warehouse team, some with us since inception, are dedicated to handling client cargo with care and precision. With deep industry knowledge and ongoing safety training, they ensure efficient, secure, and fully monitored storage backed by on-site safety officers and a focus on automation and reliability.
Our freight forwarding team brings extensive expertise and up-to-date industry knowledge to meet evolving client demands. With a deep understanding of the risks involved, we ensure supplier compliance with strict safety standards. From metals and hazardous chemicals to project and abnormal cargo, we handle a wide range of consignments with precision and care.
Our CEO pioneered the region’s first cargo security management service in 2006, following rising theft threats along key corridors. Today, our security division operates static emergency checkpoints with rapid-response vehicles to ensure full cargo protection. As founders of this service, our team’s expertise and commitment to safeguarding client commodities remain unmatched.
Our sister companies handle customs clearing across all major Zambian borders, covering imports, exports, transit, and bonded warehouse cargo. With offices at key posts, we ensure fast processing to minimise vessel turnaround. In Tanzania, our dedicated team manages cargo through Tunduma and Dar Es Salaam, using long-standing ZRA and TRA relationships to provide efficient, reliable service.
